Title: Associate for Campaigns: Voter Contact and Media Production

Term: This is a temporary role, starting immediately through November 15, with the possibility of extension based on team needs and performance.

Position Overview: ASM seeks an individual deeply committed to progressive politics and voter education. This individual will be responsible for coordinating all client activities and directly supporting the firm principal. This role will own meeting logistics and research support for the firm, work closely with our production team, and coordinate with vendor partners to help execute mail, phone, digital, radio, and television campaigns. Comfort with Canva is required; video editing experience is a strong plus but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate client operations including, but not limited to, scheduling and meeting organization, and travel arrangements.
  • Identifies technologies and strategies to ensure effective and efficient workflow management for clients and projects.
  • Drives organization of client accounts and projects related to research, organization, writing, presentations, meetings, training, and other assignments.
  • Collaborates with firm principals to manage political accounts.
  • Design graphics, social assets, and presentation materials in Canva to support campaigns and internal decks.
  • Edit and manage short-form video content (recaps, highlight reels, promotional clips) for client use.
  • Coordinates with external vendors to manage timelines, deliverables, and quality on production and design work.
  • Participate in some weekend and after-hours activities at the busiest times of the election cycle.
  • Writes, edits and proofreads client memos and work products.

Experience Required:

  • Professional and/or significant volunteer experience in the community or progressive political organizations.
  • One year electoral, non-profit, or public affairs experience in an operations role preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Knowledge of relevant technology used, including Google Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, and Calendar), Zoom
  • Proficiency in Canva; experience with video editing (e.g. Premiere, CapCut, or similar) preferred
  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree

Location: Candidates should be based in Washington, DC or southeast Michigan.
