Background
Coming out of retirement and looking for a position that requires lots of experience. While waiting, turning my hobby into a startup and becoming an entrepreneur. I am seeking medical device manufacturers and investors who want to determine the future of the industry for the better by solving big problems with me. It will help that I have been a National Science Foundation I-Corps Mentor and been through the program. I am Founder and CEO of Menlo Park Associates and its subsidiary, Menlo Park Software. As an independent management consultant, I am currently researching problems in the medical device industry, creating process solutions, and developing supporting software. My most recent engagement of over 8 years was with a small consulting firm with many DoD and sizable enterprises. Before that, I was a project manager that rescued a number of complex projects from unmitigated risks. As a serial entrepreneur, I founded a software development company in Southfield, Michigan when PC’s were newer and fewer. Certified as a Project Management Professional and a Six Sigma Green Belt, I am active in the areas of risk management and process improvement and speak at various seminars and conferences of the PMI and the Dr. W. Edwards Deming Institute. I have two degrees from the University of Michigan: a Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering (cum laude) and a Master's degree in computer engineering. In my spare time, I supervised American Red Cross First Aid volunteers for over twenty years at University of Michigan sporting events. My historic home has been on the Old West Side Homes Tour three times. I enjoy the company of golden retrievers and the wonderful gardens my wife has created in our back yard. My children have grown up but not left town. I like to run a couple of times each week and get into the great outdoors whenever possible.
