Background
I believe that the critical point for any altruistic endeavor lies where policy meets the people whom it is crafted to help. My career has put me on both sides of this interplay as an educator, analyst, and administrator for sustainable development on a global scale, where I've developed solutions rooted in holistic analysis, as well as cross-disciplinary and cross-cultural applications. My boundless enthusiasm for the natural and human diversity of our planet and strong interpersonal communication skills enable me to overcome cultural, linguistic, and social barriers to deliver complex projects in rapidly changing environments. As a snapshot of my career to-date, here are a few select accomplishments: • Coordinated 2+ year federally funded program for education and rural development in former Soviet republic • Planned and implemented university funded research into effect of tourism on threatened natural area • Formed hundreds of partnerships transcending linguistic and cultural barriers to accomplish community-driven goals
