Background
I’m an operations and policy leader who has built a career across government, nonprofits, and community‑driven organizations — all with a focus on strengthening systems, improving outcomes, and advancing equity. My work spans local, state, federal, and even international government, giving me a uniquely comprehensive understanding of how policy, operations, and people intersect to drive impact. Across roles in the Detroit Mayor’s Office, the White House, the Michigan Governor’s Office, the Michigan House of Representatives, the United States Senate, and the House of Commons in the Canadian Parliament, I’ve learned how effective organizations function from the inside out. I’ve managed complex initiatives, aligned diverse stakeholders, and supported leaders navigating high‑stakes environments where clarity, coordination, and execution matter. My career has also been deeply rooted in Detroit’s nonprofit and community landscape — from directing the New Leaders Council Detroit chapter to supporting community violence intervention and public safety work. These experiences ground my operational leadership in real community needs and ensure that equity remains central to every system I build. I’m known for bringing structure to complexity: strengthening internal processes, building cross‑sector partnerships, translating strategy into day‑to‑day execution, and helping teams operate with consistency and purpose. My background in policy and program strategy allows me to anticipate challenges early, manage risk thoughtfully, and ensure that operational decisions align with mission and values. I humbly appreciate my many roles that sit at the heart of organizational effectiveness. A lot of my roles comprise of leadership, systems, and people coming together — and that’s where I do my best work. I’m energized by building strong internal infrastructure, supporting high‑performing teams, and helping mission‑driven organizations deliver meaningful, measurable impact.
