Emily Traficante
PhD Candidate in Organic Chemistry
Graduate Student Researcher at Schindler Lab-UMich and UBC
Background
As a 5th year PhD candidate and NSF GRFP Fellow in Professor Corinna Schindler's lab at the University of Michigan/University of British Columbia, I have developed synthetic expertise in method development and complex molecule synthesis. The main focus of my research has been natural product total synthesis in which I have designed and executed multi-step synthetic routes. Through my studies I have been immersed in a highly collaborative and cross-disciplinary environment to tackle complex synthetic challenges. I am actively seeking industry roles in process chemistry and medicinal chemistry where I can apply my skills to cutting-edge research within a dynamic, team-oriented setting.
