Global Project Management, New Business and Philanthropy
Background
Peter Levine is a seasoned advisor with over 25 years of experience at the intersection of philanthropy, donor funded programming, institutional capital, and sustainable development worldwide. A recognized thought leader in donor strategy, blended finance, and food systems transformation, Peter has co-authored regional landscape analyses, designed investment frameworks for agriculture and climate resilience, delivered complex donor funded programs which leveraged other capital in challenging from Ukraine to Bolivia to South Sudan, and built multi-donor pipelines across economic growth, community development, governance, resilience, and trade. He brings both strategic vision and deep regional networks to support Mercy Corps’ goals of adapting to the Future State where his experience inside and outside the US provides him a unique perspective on funding trends, needs, and modalities. As Neartú’s Founding Partner, he builds off a foundation in capital and financial markets with a leading US small business, then later expanded his work with large firms, INGOs and others with funders ranging from FCDO, DFAT, USAID, MCC and the MDBs. Recent years have seen Mr. Levine focus more on SE Asia including work in Indonesia where he was a key part of the $330 million MCC Green Prosperity Project and Cambodia where he led multiple winning bid teams as Agriculture Practice Director (rebuilding the practice from almost zero projects to over $50 million in projects). Most recently he has led high-level strategic engagements throughout the region and represented the firm at the June 2025 Grow Asia Joint Council Meeting in Bangkok, contributing to discussions on regenerative agriculture and school meals as food system levers and supported the Asia Venture Philanthropy Network in an effort to lean into the crisis in humanitarian aid. https://www.linkedin.com/in/peter-levine-ba49a2/
